Nina and the Neurons – Series 5

About the show

Nina and her Neurons are back investigating chemistry in this fun science show for four to six-year-olds. In her lab, Nina reveals the amazing ways different things change and react in our world.

Why do our fingers go wrinkly in the bath? Why does chocolate melt in our hands? And why do onions make us cry? Fictional scientist Nina (Katrina Bryan) and her five animated sense Neurons show the amazing ways that different things can change and react in our everyday world.

Science is all around us, in the small things we use everyday, like slimy soap, floaty bubbles and sticky jam, and in the bigger things too, like firework displays and ice-cream factories.

Under the careful supervision of Nina in her science lab, a team of young experimenters test out some sensationally smoky, noisy and smelly experiments, investigating burning questions such as: Why is the sea so salty? And why do I get ‘sleepy dust’ in my eyes?

And the scientific sleuths visit some super cool locations along the way to find out why windscreen wipers are like our eyelids and why stalactites are like our teeth in a series that fires children’s natural wonder in the world.
